About the author
A SYNOPSIS
"What kind of monster are you?"
Most believe supernatural beings to only exist in fairy tales. For Victoria Wesley, a hot-headed teenage witch with a chip on her shoulder, the supernatural world is all too real.
Four years ago her parents were slaughtered for inexplicable reasons. As the sole survivor of her family, Victoria sets out to bring their killers to justice. In her determination to find out who was responsible she meets a group of young witches and a mysterious vampire named Adrien who make her question everything she thought she knew.
The world of the supernatural is far more complicated and dangerous than she ever realized. When ulterior motives are revealed knowing who to trust proves to be the hardest decision she’s ever made. When the lines between right and wrong are blurred Victoria has to figure out how far you can go before you become one of the bad guys.
Will Victoria be able to get what she wants without losing sight of who she is? Will she make it out of this alive?

LEONA MERCYConcept: Real World PowerProject: The Vermin
Leona Mercy is the main antagonist of The Vermin. The corrupt mayor of Patriot City, Mercy is primarily responsible for the formation of the Vermin super team due to her shameless exploitation of Patriot City’s working class.
Whew, where to begin? As a story about revolution, The Vermin needed a powerful representation of the establishment. I went through some preliminary ideas before settling on Mercy, including a banker, a police chief, and even a president. After ditching those, I happened to be watching the video for Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s "Two Tribes" when the light bulb went off.
Mercy is meant to be a very imposing figure, so I designed her in a manner that draws attention to two areas: her size and her face. Her natural standing height is 6’ even with a very toned, athletic build as she’s meant to tower over or stand eye-level with most in her profession. Corporate, yet fashionable attire adds to the statement and like any non-costumed villain she never wears the same outfit twice.
However, what will be on display most for Mercy lies above the shoulders. Her face is meant to be the symbol of fear and authority in Patriot City, so she has very sharp, heavy features (dare I say inspired by the lovely Khandi Alexander) that contrast ice-cold eyes. Her hair aims backward to make sure that face is always visible. The head area the most visible and consistent part of her design also gave me a place to locate an easily recognizable artifact in her necklace. If it doesn’t spell “trouble” altogether, I’m doing it wrong.

Well, that didn’t take long.
Vermin #1 cover’s finished. First time I’ve colored something completely in a while and the first time I’ve colored something with this tablet, period. Now I need to act like my Giants are playing a football game tonight.

Looking For Mods

rebirthingblackculture:

Hey followers,

If it hasn’t been obvious already, I am not the best when it comes to time management and organization at the moment: life happens. I’m currently traveling across the globe for disclosed reasons, and I have a million things to take care of. *Hopefully* by mid-summer, things should slow down for me to focus on this blog, but until then, I just don’t have the time.

I’ve seen other blogs and the conflict that occurs with “mods” and I absolutely do not want nor will I tolerate that. Even now, I’m still hesitant on trusting outside sources with access to this page, as it means so much to me, but I’m going to give it a try.

With that being said, feel free to submit a Mod Application and I will review it (as well as your blog - NOTE: I am allowed to pick mods based on the kind of politics/views/opinions they post on their personal blogs) as soon as I can.

Thanks so much for the support and patience! :)

the only thing i remember
learning from my aunt is that its much easier
to spread butter on bread
with a spoon
instead of a knife and
i know that’s nothing significant, but not all of us
are heroes after we die.

most of us are just people
like you and me;
being thought of during the little things, like
standing at the kitchen counter
making toast.
